Singer John Park to put out new album after 8 years

Singer John Park is gearing up to drop his new mini-album, "outbox," on July 12, eight years after the release of his previous album.

Park's record label Music Farm took to its official Twitter Wednesday to share a list of the songs that will be offered in the upcoming release. The album, which will be led by the song, "now, us, here," features three other tracks, including "strangers."

"Park composed all four songs," Music Farm said in a statement, Thursday.

Although the company did not provide more details about the lead track, it revealed that "strangers" features Youra, a singer-songwriter best known for her tunes, "my" (2018) and "Laundry" (2019). She previously teamed up with Park for her song, "Night Running" (2020).

Music Farm also unveiled a teaser on 메이저놀이터 , July 5. In the short video, Park narrates, "Beauty, left unseen… Words, left unspoken… Feelings, buried deep…. Hearts, free of burden."

Park, an American singer of Korean descent, first became known to the public on the ninth season of "American Idol" in 2010. In the same year, he appeared on Mnet's popular audition program, "Superstar K2," and finished second.

After making his official debut with the track, "I'm Your Man," in October, 2010, he rolled out a series of hits, including, "Falling" (2012) and "Thought of You" (2016). His previous album, "Inner Child" came out in 2013.

Park, 32, is a student at Northwestern University in Chicago, but is currently taking a break from university to continue his singing career.
