Korean celeb's Chinese husband apologizes over cheating scandal

Actress Choo Ja-hyun's Chinese husband Yu Xiaoguang, who is also an actor, apologized on Saturday after leaked footage showed him 안전토토사이트 a woman, whom he called a close friend, sit on his lap. He denied cheating on his wife.

"I'm so sorry for any anger or frustration this has caused you. After watching the video, I have deeply reflected and am regretting my actions. Most of all, I greatly disappointed my wife, who deserves nothing but love. I'll be more careful of my words and actions and make sure this never happens again," Yu wrote on his Weibo account.

Earlier, Choo took to Instagram to thank fans for their support while admitting she's "embarrassed" by the situation.

"Although I personally know the people who appear in the video, my husband's behavior was inappropriate. Even if it was a mistake, he should take full responsibility for his actions and their outcomes. I reproached for his carelessness and he is well aware of his misdeeds," she wrote on her Instagram.

"I'd also like to thank those who sympathized with me. I was touched by your support. I ask for kindness and understanding for my husband's sake and we promise to show you a more matured side as a married couple."

Rumors began to surface on Thursday after Chinese tabloid reported on Yu's alleged affair, disclosing video footage of the Chinese actor letting a woman sit on his lap after getting into his car.

The couple's agency BH Entertainment was quick to respond to the rumor, saying that the woman in the video is an old acquaintance of the couple. However, unconvinced Korean and Chinese netizens continued to criticize and attack Yu for his alleged affair.

The couple met through a Chinese drama in 2012 and got married in January 2017. The two appeared together on SBS's famous reality TV show "Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny," gaining popularity with both Korean and Chinese audiences.
